bent up the sissy bar up at work as well as made a few brackets for it and the fender. i like how it's starting to come out, simple traditional.

there's a row of cottonwoods a few hundred yards away from the missouri river. there's also a lot for the truckers to stage up in and a depot for the ford motor company up the street. it's a stones throw from the shop i work in and everyday at lunch time i park the ironhead under the massive canopy of those old cottonwoods, lay out a blanket, call my old lady to tell her i love her and stare off into space.
this is the life.

earlier today i tried to be totally hip and make a first start up video but failed so fucking miserably. it's ok because the chopper gods wanted me to be humble, later i rode the bike around the block for the first time in two and a half years with no video. i need to adjust the carb as well as the valves because she is running a little rough, regardless it's a good feeling to see your baby walk for the first time.

alot was going on this weekend: david allan coe, swap meet, gear grinders at knuckleheads. scored a early 70s ironhead frame, another cross sissy, and a 16" rear spoker with goodyear rubber and a fresh sprocket. swap meet was packed, more so than ever. i never seen a line 20 cars deep waiting to get in there.

when no one has a job and everyone is desperate and cutthroat, you can pay your employees less for the same work.
when consulting firms engineer ways to effectively disseminate american jobs you can count on the price of life to plummet.
during the later half of the 20th century it was cheap oil, nowadays it's cheap blood.
